A couple of years ago, I was in one of the lowest points of my life.
Depression didn’t just appear out of nowhere; it had been building for years, intensifying after my divorce in 2019. Instead of seeking help and therapy, I buried myself in contract after contract, using work as both validation and a distraction from my pain. After every cruise or theater contract (which I genuinely loved), I would slip back into a deeper depression. Each episode became darker and more difficult to navigate.
I was sad. I was angry. I was hurting. I was struggling. My coping mechanisms weren’t helping—I was drinking more frequently, smoking cigarettes, and avoiding facing my pain. Alcohol shifted from being a fun, social activity to a way of self-soothing, but the anxiety that followed only made things worse.
The rumination of negative thoughts grew so intense that I often feared for my safety. I wanted the pain to stop. I wanted peace.
I suffered in silence. Unless you were my mom or someone I lived with, you wouldn’t have known the extent of my struggles. Outwardly, I carried myself as best as I could, but inwardly, I was completely disconnected. I pushed nearly everyone away and limited communication to just a few close people.
One evening, I gave myself a choice: to wake up and repeat the same cycle, or to wake up and make a real, lasting change. I knew this couldn’t just be a short-term fix. It had to be a commitment—a commitment to myself, my life, my body, mind, heart, and soul.
That night marked a turning point. I dedicated myself to healing. I replaced my negative habits with healthier ones. I stopped drinking. I stopped smoking. I stopped playing the victim. When negative thoughts and anxiety arose, I didn’t try to ignore them; instead, I faced them head-on, seeking to understand and work through them.
I started walking every morning, listening to guided meditations for manifestation, and using tools like the Headway app and audiobooks. I began journaling, meditating twice a day, deepening my yoga practice, and returning to the gym. I also scheduled my first therapy session in years. Though my first therapist and I didn’t connect, I kept searching until I found someone who became a vital part of my healing journey.
The road wasn’t easy. While the initial months brought an energetic high, deeper challenges emerged as time went on. I faced some of the deepest grief and most intense loneliness I had ever experienced. I leaned on the support of my mother during those moments, and through the brokenness, I began to find profound love and light. The more I connected within, the more I felt connected to the people and experiences around me, experiencing genuine gratitude, clarity, and a renewed sense of purpose.
During this period, I also explored additional healing modalities, including low-dose ketamine therapy, which focuses on neuroplasticity and rewiring the brain. This opened doors to further personal growth, learning, and manifesting. The synchronicities that followed were truly life-changing.
Through this journey, I gained multiple certifications in sound healing, somatic therapy, and breathwork, which have become central to my practice today. I’ve also completed a neuroscience coaching certification and continue to expand my knowledge and tools to better serve others.
Now, I’ve built a life around helping others heal. My business, 3SixtyVibes, offers programs and services inspired by my own journey. I recently relocated to Chicago and opened the first 3SixtyVibes studio in December 2024 (complete with its own app!). This space is dedicated to guiding others on their healing journeys through somatic therapy, sound healing, yoga, and more.
Healing is an ongoing process, and I’ve come to realize it never truly ends. I still experience moments of sadness, grief, and frustration, but I now approach these emotions with curiosity and compassion, exploring their roots and how they connect to my story.
My hope in sharing this is to remind you that, no matter how stuck, lost, or hopeless you feel, you have the power to create a better life. Change is possible when you dedicate yourself to the work. Ask for help. Believe in yourself. And trust that transformation is within your reach.
The story of 3SixtyVibes is a direct result of dedicating 365 days to my personal healing and development. It is one of hope. It’s about pouring into yourself so you can live fully and authentically. If you or someone you know is struggling, encourage them to seek support, even if all you can offer is a gentle nudge in the right direction. Sometimes, that encouragement is all they need.
Be Well and Good Vibes,
Anthony
